In Europe, our operations have long relied on the tried-and-true Scania S-Series and Scania R-Series trucks. Their reliability, power, and driver comfort have set the benchmark for our European routes. Now, we’re bringing that exact same gold standard across the Atlantic to our North American division.
We are thrilled to officially introduce the International LT as the new standard tractor unit for the Scanitruk North American fleet!
Powered by Shared Engineering: The S13 Integrated Powertrain
While the badge on the front says International, the heart beating inside is pure Scania engineering.
Under the hood, our new fleet units are powered by the TRATON S13 Integrated Powertrain—producing 470 horsepower (with 515 hp available for select heavy-haul specs)—paired directly with the 14-speed T14 automated manual transmission.
Why the move? As part of the global TRATON Group, International and Scania share core powertrain technology. By aligning our North American fleet with the same engine architecture used in Europe, we get:
- Unmatched Reliability: High torque at low RPMs ensures your freight gets from Point A to Point B smoothly and efficiently.
- Unified Diagnostic Systems: Our virtual workshop and fleet maintenance teams can now manage diagnostics, telemetry, and service protocols across both ETS2 and ATS using a single streamlined system framework.
- Consistent Driving Dynamics: Whether you’re hauling across European motorways or pulling loads down I-35 in Texas, the throttle response and shifting logic feel familiar and refined.
